Posted in Music with tags , , , on January 22, 2010 by StarboyantC

This first single sounds very empowering. Only the strong will continue… Was that Nas freestyling at the end? Shit was fiyah. In any case, Damien Marley and Nas will release a collaborative album called Distant Relatives on April 20…

Is that youuuu Drake? lol Your boy went crazy on this song. He raps in English and Spanish. It’s not a great track but at least he’s experimenting and didn’t fuck with Autotune hahaha.

Joe Budden and Royce da 5′9″ absolutely killed this track. Shots fired everywhere. A major label needs to sign the whole Slaughterhouse already. Niggaz is sleepin…Wake up dummies.

I don’t need backing so it’s no need for Shady – Royce

Welcome to the 40/40, it’s an age limit and a dress code, no 80 year old rappers – Joey

Breaking: Tupac’s real father speaks

Posted in Music with tags , , on January 22, 2010 by StarboyantC

I brought this exclusive to you on DaLeak.com back in 2006 but I have yet to see it on any major news outlet or blog. So I’m republishing it. Why isn’t this story being told? Billy Garland claims that he is in fact Tupac’s real father and remembers his son vividly. He also looks a lot like the legendary rapper. Coincidence? I’ll let you be the judge.

New Music: Rick Ross – Mafia Music Pt 2 (Nicki Minaj diss)

Posted in Music with tags , , , , on January 21, 2010 by StarboyantC

Rick Ross is back on this Part 2 along with another diss. This time its not 50 Cent but Nicki Minaj. I’m not commenting on her gender, cause Nicki can hold her own ground, but damn. I think this is the perfect opportunity for Nicki to go in on a male rapper and show her skills. Rick Ross also has gotten better lyrically. The Teflon Don is the name of his next album coming soon…

New Music: Drake – Zone

This Drake track was actually recorded in 2007 and was just leaked. It has a slow pace but the lyrics are still good…

I love the Scarface sample on this beat. It gives me that nostalgic feeling and brings me back. This is the first official single from Lil Wayne’s The Rebirth album. The full video premieres tomorrow…

Update 1/6: Official video added early. Thanks Rayhne.

Ice Cube On the Pros and Cons of the Internet

Posted in Television with tags , , , on January 5, 2010 by StarboyantC

Just like anything, the internet has a positive and negative side and effect on businesses. The music business is one of the most affected by net. Now that we can download and stream free music all day, very few people still purchase CD’s. I agree with Ice Cube that it gives a voice to the underground but we can’t forget to support our favorite artist and make a purchase!

Its always good to hear from Cube and damn…he looks like he’s aging gracefully. Plus good advice to the aspiring artists out there…baby steps and rep. your city/hood. Straight from the O.G.’s mouth.
